If you no longer wish to use Cleared Talent Connect, you can permanently delete your account. The process and requirements differ by role.
Before You Begin
- Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
- Export any data you want to keep before proceeding — see Exporting Your Data.
Role-specific requirements
Recruiters: You cannot delete your own account. Your manager must remove you from the team first via the Team page. Once removed, your account will no longer have access to the platform.
Managers: You are blocked from deleting your account if either of the following is true:
- You have active recruiters on your team — remove all recruiters first.
- You have open job listings (Draft or Published status) — close or delete all open jobs first.
Steps 1. Open Account Settings
Navigate to Settings > Profile.
2. Scroll to the Delete Account Section
At the bottom of the profile settings page, you will find the Delete Account section.
3. Initiate Deletion
Click the Delete Account button. You will be asked to confirm your decision.
4. Confirm Deletion
Follow the confirmation prompts. This action permanently removes your account.
What Happens After Deletion
The outcome depends on your role:
Candidates
- Your profile is anonymized — your personal information is removed from the platform.
- Any active applications are withdrawn. Recruiters will see those applications labeled as "Deleted Candidate" rather than your name.
- Saved job searches are cleared.
- Your resume files are deleted.
Recruiters
- Your recruiter record is soft-deleted and no longer visible to managers or candidates.
- Any applications or activity you were assigned to will remain attributed to your (now anonymized) record.
Managers
- Your company account and all associated data are removed.
- Any active subscription will be canceled immediately.
Tips
- If you just want to stop receiving contacts, consider setting your availability to "Not Available" instead of deleting your account.
- Export your data before deleting — see Exporting Your Data.
