Match scores help you quickly identify which jobs are the best fit for your profile. The platform automatically calculates a match percentage for each job based on your qualifications.

How Match Scores Work

The matching algorithm considers several factors:

  • Clearance Level — Whether your clearance meets or exceeds the job's requirement
  • Skills — How many of your skills align with the job's required and preferred skills
  • Experience — Whether your years of experience meet the job's minimum
  • Location — Whether you are in the job's area or open to remote/relocation
  • Certifications — Whether you hold certifications the role requires

Reading Match Scores

Match scores appear as colored badges on job cards and in your recommended jobs:

  • 80–100% (Green) — Strong match. Your qualifications closely align with the role.
  • 60–79% (Amber) — Moderate match. You meet many requirements but may be missing some.
  • Below 60% (Orange) — Partial match. There are significant gaps between your profile and the requirements.

Steps 1. View Match Scores on Your Dashboard

The Recommended For You section on your candidate dashboard shows jobs with their match scores.

2. View Match Scores in Job Search

When browsing jobs, match scores appear on job cards if you are logged in and have a completed profile.

Tips

  • A higher match score does not guarantee you will get the job, but it indicates strong alignment.
  • Improve your match scores by completing all profile sections — especially skills, clearance, and experience.
  • Do not skip jobs with moderate match scores. Recruiters often consider candidates who meet 70% or more of requirements.
